Rules

Simple by design.

#1 controls the screen.

Everything else follows from that.

1. Anyone can enter

Add a supported URL and choose an amount.

New entries start at $5. The same content can only have one active ranking entry at a time. Submitting active content again starts a new competitive action and updates that row when the payment completes.

$5
$999,999

Whole dollar amounts only. No decimals.

2. Rank is the amount

Entries are ranked from highest amount to lowest.

  1. #01$100

  2. #02$80

  3. #03$50

You do not have to take #1.

Enter with any valid amount and you will receive the position that amount reaches.

A new $70 entry becomes:

  1. #01$100

  2. #02$80

  3. #03$70

  4. #04$50

3. #1 controls the screen

The highest-ranked active entry controls the shared screen.

When #1 changes, the screen changes for everyone.

Paying does not guarantee time on screen. Another entry may take #1 immediately.

There is no guaranteed duration. The leader keeps the screen until:

  • another entry passes it;
  • it is Erased;
  • erasethis removes it for moderation or safety.

4. Taking #1

To take the screen directly, your amount must be at least $5 above the current #1.

$100
$105

5. Competing again

Enter the content URL again and choose a new action amount.

The new action is priced independently. Previous payments are history, not credit toward a future JOIN or TAKE THE SCREEN action.

$100
$105
$110

A pays the full $110 for the new action. Its ranking amount becomes $110, not the sum of its historical payments.

6. Getting passed does not remove you

Losing #1 does not erase your entry.

You simply move down to the position your amount now holds.

Before
  1. #01$100Controlling

  2. #02$80

C enters at $120.

After
  1. #01$120Controlling

  2. #02$100

  3. #03$80

7. Erase

Erase removes the current #1.

The Erase amount is equal to the current leader's amount.

$150
$150

When Erase happens:

  1. the current #1 is removed;
  2. the screen goes black;
  3. ERASED appears for 10 seconds;
  4. after the blackout, the next active entry becomes #1.

Other entries stay ranked. Erase is not moderation.

  2. #02$100

  3. #03$70

00:10

After
  1. #01$100Controlling

  2. #02$70

8. Ties

If two entries have the same amount, the entry that reached that amount first ranks higher.

9. Only supported content

erasethis accepts content only from supported platforms and approved URL formats.

  • YouTube
  • Twitch
  • Kick

Do not use:

  • custom iframes;
  • arbitrary HTML;
  • URL shorteners;
  • phishing URLs;
  • malware;
  • chat/invite links;
  • real-money gambling, casino, sportsbook or gambling-affiliate content;
  • malicious URLs;
  • unsupported domains.

10. A position is a position

A ranking position does not guarantee views, clicks, followers, engagement or any particular amount of screen time.

You are obtaining a position in the erasethis ranking.

If that position becomes #1, it controls the screen.

11. erasethis can remove content

erasethis may remove content that violates the rules, creates security risks, contains illegal material or threatens the service.

Moderation is not Erase. A removed entry leaves the ranking immediately and does not start the Erase blackout. If #1 is removed, the next valid active entry becomes #1 right away.

A moderated entry cannot return to the ranking. The same URL may enter later only as a new entry, after the previous one is no longer active.

Potential reasons include:

  • illegal content;
  • phishing;
  • malware;
  • abuse;
  • real-money gambling or gambling promotion;
  • clearly malicious content;
  • serious rule violations.

Use “Report content” beside the current Screen entry, or contact Support with the entry URL or event link for a takedown request.

12. Playback does not change rank

If a video or stream fails to play, that entry stays ranked. Playback problems do not Erase or moderate the entry.

13. The visible ranking

The ranking shows 50 active entries per page. Every active entry keeps its global position across pages.

14. Nothing stays #1 forever

There is no permanent #1.

If you want the screen, take it.
